The German aircraft manufacturer Flight Design GmbH intends to produce ultralight CT series aircraft in Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports citing Kazakh Invest.
What happened: On April 17–20, during the 30th edition of the AERO Friedrichshafen trade show in Germany, Flight Design aircraft manufacturer and Kazakh Invest national agency held a joint press conference. The German party announced plans to produce aircraft in Kazakhstan, focusing on the ultralight CT series family.
Joint venture: Flight Design CEO Daniel Guenther revealed that the aircraft production project will be a collaboration with the Kazakh company Virazh, a vehicle service provider, within the free economic zone in Almaty. The parties will establish a joint venture named Flight Design Kazakhstan to oversee production. The aircraft manufactured by this venture will be marketed domestically and internationally.
