During the roundtable discussion, Ardak Zebeshev, chair of the investment committee noted an increase in bilateral inflow of over two times. In 2022, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and South Korea amounted to $6 billion, and the Korean investment in the Kazakh economy reached $1.5 billion.

“There are all prerequisites for the qualitative development of bilateral cooperation. There are almost 500 enterprises with the participation of South Korean capital in our country. We have 58 joint investment projects on our constant radar," concluded Zebeshev.

Baek Jinbaek, the general director of Ulju County, noted that the Korean delegation brought companies working in various industries to the discussion that are interested in developing cooperation with Kazakhstan. His colleague, the chair of the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association, Lee Dong-hee, said that the association, which comprises 237 companies and over 200 researchers, is interested in collaborating to implement projects related to green hydrogen.
