American multinational technology corporation Microsoft will open a multiregional hub in Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports.

Bagdat Mussin, the minister of digital development, innovations, and aerospace industry, shared on his Facebook page that Microsoft plans to establish a new multi-regional hub headquartered in Kazakhstan. It will cover all Central Asian countries with an addition of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia, and Pakistan.

The digital minister also wrote that during his visit to Silicon Valley in California, he discussed expanding the use of the Kazakh language in more of the company’s services, including the ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot.

"Localization of Microsoft operations will allow Kazakhstan to become a center of attraction for technology and advanced solutions on a regional scale. As a center of technological development and innovation, the hub will be able to become a driver of human capital development and strengthen the national economy by facilitating the production and export of non-resource technological industries," concluded Mussin.
