Seventy businesses in Kazakhstan will receive a one-year Gold Supplier membership on Alibaba in order to boost their export reputation on the international market, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of trade and integration.

The Chinese e-commerce giant gives premium memberships to sellers with verified facilities who have earned buyers’ trust through their dependable services. These “global gold suppliers” are granted access to more comprehensive business support and exclusive services on Alibaba.com.

The Kazakh companies will be given an account on Alibaba with the Gold Supplier status for one year. Under special support, the businesses are expected to hold trade and economic events in 10 countries and present their export potential at international exhibitions.

The Ministry of Trade and Integration initiated this project under the Export Acceleration 2023 program to establish direct contacts and boost trade relations between Kazakh enterprises and future importers, traders, and distributors.

In 2023, the ministry aims to add more countries to the list of priority markets for goods. Kazakhstan traditionally exports to neighboring nations like Russia, China, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. New markets to sell domestic goods include Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
