On July 10, 2022, a pilot project was launched in Russia to digitalize the state service of "Accepting and forwarding documents for the issuance of passports to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan staying abroad", QazMonitor reports citing MFA press service.

Currently, the electronic documentation system is successfully functioning in Kazakhstan's consulates in Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Hanover), the Republic of Korea (Seoul), UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), Russia (Moscow), USA (Washington, New York, San Francisco), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Japan (Tokyo), and Turkey (Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya).
