On April 15, China Southern Airlines launched a new charter flight route between Almaty and the Chinese city of Yining, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Route: According to the press service of Yining Airport, the new flight route will operate once a week, connecting the city of Yining in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture to Almaty. The flight will reportedly take about an hour and operate according to the following schedule:
Yining 12:04 a.m. – Almaty 3:59 p.m.
Almaty 5:10 p.m. – Yining 3:05 p.m.
NOTE: All times are local. Almaty is UTC+5, while Yining is UTC+8.
Yining is now the third city in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China to have a direct flight route to Kazakh cities, joining Urumqi and Kashi.
