In the first nine months of 2023, Kazakhstan's hotels delivered services totaling 175.7 billion tenge, reflecting a 36% YoY increase, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan.
From January to September 2022, the country's accommodation facilities generated 129.2 billion tenge—an almost two-fold increase compared to pre-pandemic levels.
The country now boasts over 4,000 tourist accommodation establishments, including hotels, motels, resorts, children's camps, camping sites, hostels, holiday homes, and more.
Nurtas Karipbayev, Acting Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, highlighted, "The committee will continue its efforts to create comfortable conditions for guests, expand the range of accommodations, and enhance the quality of tourist services. These efforts are aimed not only at satisfying the needs of our visitors but also at supporting economic growth in the tourism sector. This strengthens Kazakhstan's reputation as an attractive tourist destination with diverse, high-quality accommodation options."
