Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is set to launch flights to Turkistan, as reported by QazMonitor citing the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee.
"Starting January 16, 2024, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will launch regular flights between Turkistan and Abu Dhabi. It is planned to schedule the flights three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) utilizing Airbus-A321 aircraft," the official message states.
The introduction of flights on this new route will provide Turkistan residents with the opportunity for connecting flights to other destinations through Abu Dhabi, the Committee noted.
To recap, starting July 1, 2023, the number of regular passenger flights between the capitals of Kazakhstan and the UAE increased from three to five times a week (every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Additionally, starting August 4, the carrier planned to raise the frequency of regular passenger flights on the Almaty–Abu Dhabi route from five to seven times a week (one flight daily).
