On September 7, the Chinese airline Loong Air initiated its first passenger flights on the Almaty–Hangzhou route, QazMonitor reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee.
The airline will operate flights with a frequency of three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays utilizing A321 aircraft.
The introduction of the new air carrier into the domestic aviation market and the launch of a new air route are expected to foster the further development of trade, economic, tourist, and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
Established in 2011, Zhejiang Loong Airlines operates as both a passenger and cargo airline. The carrier’s fleet comprises 70 A321 passenger aircraft and B737 cargo planes. Currently, the company operates on over 600 domestic and international routes, flying to more than 170 cities worldwide.
