FlyArystan to Launch Astana–Urumqi Flights this Fall

FlyArystan low-cost carrier will launch the new Astana–Urumqi route starting September 21, QazMonitor reports citing the airline’s press service.

The twice-weekly route will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays, utilizing Airbus A320neo, with a flight duration of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The airline has set a base minimum price for a one-way ticket at ₸‎18,000.

With this announcement, Astana joins the ranks of other Kazakh cities that have air connections to Urumqi. Previously, Aktobe became connected to the Chinese city via an all-cargo link, and last summer, China Southern Airlines established direct flights from Almaty.
