Oman’s low-cost airline SalamAir will launch flights to Kazakhstan for the 2023 summer season, QazMonitor reports.
According to the ministry of industry and infrastructure development, SalamAir will operate direct flights starting from July 1.
"Flights will be performed twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays," the press statement said.
The starting cost of the tickets will be 130 thousand tenge, and the flight time will be 4 hours and 20 minutes.
This will be the first time SalamAir will operate its services in Kazakhstan.
According to Routes, SalamAir CEO Mohamed Ahmed commented: “The city of Almaty has promising passenger travel into Muscat, and we expect to carry both business travelers and holidaymakers between the two important cities.”
“Oman and Kazakhstan recently agreed to have close bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, renewable energy, tourism, and food security too thus this route being mutually beneficial.”
