Aktau tourist facilities and major tour operators in Iran and Russia are negotiating to increase charter flights up to seven times a week, QazMonitor reports.
Center for Public Communications reported that Aktau is ready to receive a large tourist influx for the spring and summer seasons. This is expected to develop the tourism infrastructure and quality of services.
Last summer, Aktau was one of the most popular destinations in Kazakhstan among foreign tourists. The region launched a charter flight from Ufa to Aktau for the first time in history.
Citizens of Iran are able to enter and stay in Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 14 calendar days from the moment of border crossing. Trips for private, tourist, and business purposes are available under a visa-free regime.
