As of January 18, citizens of Kazakhstan are able to obtain a visa on arrival when visiting Indonesia, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the ministry of foreign affairs.

According to the Indonesian directorate general of immigration, travelers with a Kazakh passport may apply for a visa at the airport upon arrival in the country or in advance before departure at the directorate’s official webpage.

In both cases, the applicants must have the necessary credentials:

– a passport with at least 6 months validity at the time of crossing the border;

– a return ticket or a ticket for a flight to a third country;

– a COVID-19 vaccination certificate of at least two doses, whereby the second component must be administered at least 14 days before the actual border crossing. This requirement applies to those 18 years of age or older. People under the age of 18 are not required to have a vaccination certificate.

The visa fee is Rp500,000 or about $35. When applying for a visa at the airport, the fee must be paid at the Bank Rakyat Indonesia – the counter accepts payments in U.S. dollars and Indonesian rupiahs.

A visa on arrival allows the holder to stay in Indonesia for 30 days and can be extended once for the same term at the migration office.
