Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurbakh Rustemov met with the Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs at the Romanian MFA Iulian Fota to discuss this year’s event schedule, QazMonitor reports citing Delovoy Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Government’s top priority in Europe is to strengthen economic, trade, and investment ties between the country and the European Union, the ambassador said.

Mr. Fota replied that Kazakhstan is an important trading partner in Romania and the European Union. He also noted that the high-level visits organized for 2023 will give an impetus to expanding negotiations on energy and logistics issues.
