China Southern Airlines plans to offer a new route from Almaty to Xi’an starting December 23, QazMonitor reports.
The Almaty–Xi’an route will be operated once a week on Fridays.
The announcement is part of the Civil Aviation Committee’s efforts to resume international flight services. In a message on Telegram, the Committee wrote that Kazakhstan and China are continuously working to increase the number of regular flights and add new destinations.
“The new route will have a positive impact on the development of trade and economic, investment, tourist, and cultural cooperation between the two countries,” concluded the message.
