The opening ceremony of a new route between Astana and Ankara operated by Turkish budget carrier AnadoluJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, was held today, QazMonitor reports citing the ministry of industry and infrastructural development.
The event was attended by Civil Aviation Committee Chairman Talgat Lastayev, Turkish Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ufuk Ekici, AnadoluJet Marketing Director Ahmet Yildiz, and President of Astana’s airport Daulet Khamzin.
Flights between Astana and Ankara will be performed by B-737 aircraft with a frequency of 2 flights per week.
Two weeks ago, AnadoluJet launched regular passenger flights between Almaty and Ankara.
