Turkish low-cost carrier AnadoluJet started operating regular passenger flights on the Almaty–Ankara route, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the ministry of infrastructure and industrial development.

As a result of negotiations between Kazakh and Turkish aviation authorities in July, the two countries agreed to add new flight routes as well as increase the frequency of flights per week.

AnadoluJet, a subsidiary of Turkish airlines founded in 2008, had an opening ceremony for the new route launch on Sunday. The airline will operate flights twice a week on the B-737 aircraft.
