Education Ministry Starts TikTok Hashtag For Learning Content

Kazakh TikTok users encouraged to post videos and go viral

Ministry of Education and Science launched a new initiative on TikTok in which users can post fun educational content under the hashtag #тиктоктаүйренқазақстан (learn on TikTok Kazakhstan). The social media project offers a chance for creators to promote themselves and their work on the platform.

According to Khabar news agency, there are over 7 million TikTok users in Kazakhstan, to date. As the social media community grows, so does the need for quality content that is more than just entertaining. Though the app is associated with teenagers, a good portion of the users surprisingly consists of adults over 18. 

Considering TikTok’s popularity and the advancing role of informational technologies and resources for people’s self-development, The Ministry of Education and Science of the RK decided to support the #тиктоктаүйренқазақстан project. It will broaden the users’ horizons and inspire them to acquire new knowledge and skills. In turn, the participants also would be able to share their fresh ideas on self-improvement in a concise, entertaining format. The content provided by the authors should be helpful and insightful.

So far, the hashtag has been supported by multiple famous Kazakh influencers and experts. Entertaining posts range a variety of topics covering interesting facts, study tips, life hacks, and more, shot in the form of short video reels, comedic skits and TikTok Live streams. 

The videos within the project shall be available on the Instagram and TikTok accounts of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK and the national universities.
