Tennis player Elena Rybakina donated to an animal shelter in Astana, QazMonitor reports.
StopOtlov’s representatives said the money sent by Rybakina to their volunteer organization was used to buy food for 3,500 dogs and 150 cats that are in its care.
"Dear friends, we are overwhelmed with feelings of joy and immense gratitude," StopOtlov volunteers shared on Instagram.
“The most celebrated tennis player of our country and a talented girl with a big heart – Elena Rybakina provided incredible help (we bought 10 tons of pasta first thing yesterday)!”
During one of her recent visits to Astana, Rybakina said she loves animals and does her best to raise awareness of their problems.
