As of today, 930 IT companies are members of Astana Hub, including 170 with foreign participation, QazMonitor reports.

The total number of jobs created by Astana Hub participants amounts to more than 12,000. The total revenue generated by all the companies for the first 9 months of this year amounted to 147.7 billion tenge; the volume of exports of IT services is 82.6 billion tenge.

It is estimated in the last three years companies saved 47.6 billion tenge, thanks to tax preferences, and attracted financing in the amount of 172 billion tenge for their projects.

Bakytzhan Yeshmukhambetov, managing director of Astana Hub, said the results were “very good” and indicative of the active growth of the country’s IT sphere. "It is necessary to understand that when we speak about the income of participants of Astana Hub it is not the income of the tech park,” the managing director emphasized.

The number of Astana Hub participants is another indicator of rapid growth. Since the beginning of the year, 328 companies joined the Hub, which increased the income index of the members in the third quarter by 42%.

Yeshmukhambetov added that the demand for the relocation of IT specialists and companies significantly increased since the start of 2022. "Since February 28, the tech park has provided more than 3 thousand consultations on relocation and received 142 membership applications, 117 of which have been approved,” he said.

As a rule, Astana Hub collects 1% of the total income from the members. The tech park also requires the companies to conduct master classes, workshops and other events to popularize technological entrepreneurship and provide mentoring for startups.
