Kazakh Film Wins Grand Prix at Cannes 7th Art Awards

The social drama came first in the Silk Road category

The film "Mom, I am alive!" was awarded the grand prize of the Cannes Film Festival in the Silk Road countries nomination, QazMonitor reports citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"Mom, I'm Alive!" is a social drama directed by Aziz Zairov and Mukhamed Mamyrbekov about the fate of a female juvenile affairs inspector. According to the director, this is the first Kazakh film presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the last three years.
