The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the international non-governmental organization iPADIS regarding flight safety and climate protection, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee.
The International Partners for Aviation Development, Innovation and Sustainability (iPADIS) is an international public and private partnership that advocates for aviation policies and programs at the international and national state levels to take into account the needs and expectations of civil society. The organization is headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
In its effort to establish international cooperation in the aviation industry, Kazakstan’s committee has signed the memorandum in order to define conceptual and practical approaches to the field’s development.
The document states that parties cooperate in the areas of flight safety, air navigation capability and efficiency, development of air transport and environmental protection.
CEO of the Aviation Administration Catalin Radu remarked on the country’s decision to develop its civil aviation sector, calling the agreement as an indicator of commitment to the positive changes in this field.
President of iPadis Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu expressed satisfaction in working with his colleagues from Kazakhstan.
"I admire AAK's commitment to help shape the future of air transport in important areas such as environmental sustainability, innovative technology, as well as youth development, gender equality, passenger rights, and universal affordability of air travel," he said.
