Kazakhstan Won First Place in Road Championships in Australia

Kazakh cyclist Yevgeniy Fedorov won the gold medal at the 2022 UCI Road World Championship in Wollongong, Australia, QazMonitor reports citing Olympic.kz.

This year, the championship is taking place from September 18 to September 25. The race attracted more than a thousand cyclists from 70 countries all across the world to compete in various time trial races.

Yevgeniy Fedorov became the best in the 169.8 kilometer group race, securing first place over Matthias Vacek from the Czech Republic by eight seconds. The top three was rounded off by Soren Werenskiöld from Norway.
