Seven-time world champion from Aktau Ildar Yagyayev set a new world record and entered the Guinness Book of Records, QazMonitor reports citing Lada.kz
The athlete performed two-handed exercises on the crossbar with a 40lb weighted bar over 10 repetitions. Ildar submitted his application for the Guinness Book of Records six months ago with the good news having arrived only yesterday.
According to the athlete, he wants to attract the attention of young people and officials to the issue of recognizing street workout as an official sport. This will allow athletes from Kazakhstan to officially compete at street workout events.
