Kazakh is now available as a system language on iOS 16 following Apple’s product release yesterday.
The new feature was announced in June at the annual WWDC 2022 conference in California. In addition to the updated language settings, users are now able to customize the lock screen, undo send, and mark conversations as unread on iMessage.
The Kazakh language is also supported in the auto-correction feature. The keyboard layout was added to the operating system back in 2019.
Earlier this year, Minister of Digital Development Bagdat Mussin announced that iOS will display Kazakhstan as a region for incoming calls with the international code "+77" and "+76". The issue was resolved for iPhone 6 starting with iOS 14.
