Kazakh company Meloman in partnership with Disney resumes the project of dubbing high-budget blockbusters in the Kazakh language. This includes the upcoming release of Avatar: The Way of the Water directed by James Cameron, QazMonitor reports citing Tengrinews.
After the merger of Disney and 20th Century Studios, the studio's animated and full-length feature films will now be available in Kazakh.
In the near future, Kazakh viewers will also get Kazakh dubs of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" (November 10, 2022) and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania" (February 2023).
Dubbing is carried out in Kazakhstan at Aray Media Group studio, which was certificated by Disney.
So far, Kazakhstan has translated 38 animated and feature movies, the last one dubbed into Kazakh being Disney’s Encanto in November 2021.
"Since then, Kazakh viewers have been concerned about whether they will get the chance to see the studio's upcoming premieres in their native language," it was commented at Meloman, the official distributor of Disney films in Kazakhstan.
