Kazakhstan’s Commission on Humanitarian Aid discussed providing Pakistan with $400,000 of humanitarian assistance, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the prime minister.

The aid will be sent with the goal of alleviating the consequences of heavy rains and floods, which led to numerous human casualties in Pakistan.

According to the official data, 1,033 people, including 343 children, died as a result of the natural disaster. About 35 million people are left without food and shelter.

On August 27, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the international community for help. President Tokayev expressed his condolences to the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi the next day with the promise to provide assistance.
