President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is due to address the people of Kazakhstan at a joint session of both houses of Parliament on September 1, Qazmonitor reports citing the presidential press service.
The main part of his speech will be devoted to the social and economic development of the country.
On September 1 of last year, President Tokayev delivered his address titled 'The unity of the people and systematic reforms are a solid foundation for the country's prosperity'. He outlined five initiatives related to increasing the minimum wage level, pension surpluses, as well as a single payment from the Wage Fund for micro and small businesses.
The specific tasks given to relevant state bodies concerned the further development of the country in the post-pandemic period, the health care and education system, improvement of regional policy, labor market, political modernization, and protection of human rights.
