Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi held a meeting with the management of the largest Saudi Arabian company ACWA Power, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the ministry.
During the meeting, Tleuberdi noted that presently there is an active interest in renewable energy sources around the world and Kazakhstan is ready to fully support the company in project implementation.
The representatives of ACWA Power held negotiations with the management of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna fund, and Astana International Financial Center for a substantial discussion of investment projects.
ACWA Power has an investment portfolio of almost 70 billion dollars and is engaged in the production of special installations for the generation of green electricity and desalination of water.
Solar, geothermal, and wind power plants, as well as waste-to-energy plants, have been constructed and are successfully operating in 13 countries, including the Middle East and North Africa, South Africa, and South-East Asia regions.
