The World Boxing Council (WBC) asked its social media followers to rate ten of the best middleweight boxers in history, Qazmonitor reports citing Sports.kz.
Gennady Golovkin, who currently holds the WBA Super, IBF, and IBO titles, was among the candidates. His name appeared next to boxing legends, like Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Joe Calzaghe, Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Robinson, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Jr. and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Besides Golovkin, Canelo is the only other middleweight boxer on the list who is active in the ring. He and GGG are scheduled to have their third fight on September 17, but, this time, in the welterweight division.
