Yulia Putintseva advanced to the quarterfinals in Budapest

Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan makes her way to the quarterfinals of the Hungarian Ladies Open held in Budapest, Hungary.

Putintseva, who was the champion of last year's Hungarian Grand Prix WTA 250, went up against Laura Pegossi of Brazil in the second round of the tournament as part of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) series on July 14. The match ended with Putintseva coming on top with 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.

The Kazakhstani player will meet Ukraine's Lesya Tsurenko in the quarterfinals today, July 15. 

Alexander Bublik will play against Andy Murray in the quarterfinals

World's 42nd best player, Alexander Bublik, defeated Jack Sock of USA in the second-round match of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) 250 tournament in Newport, USA.

Bublik took the lead with 6:3, 3:6 and 6:2 in the meeting that lasted almost two hours. He served 22 times, made 15 double faults and converted five break points out of five. 

The quarterfinals will start today at the Hall of Fame Open where Bublik is set to play against Andy Murray of Great Britain. 

Alexander Nedovyesov reached the semifinals in doubles

In the quarterfinals of the ATP World Tour 250 in Bastad (Sweden), Alexander Nedovyesov paired with Serbia's Nikola Cacic to beat the Russian-Swiss pair Pavel Kotov and Mark-Andrea Hussler with 4-6, 6-2, 10-3.

The Kazakh-Serbian duo will play against the winners of the match between Pablo Carreño-Busta (Spain)/João Sousa (Portugal) and Italians Simone Bolelli / Fabio Fognini
