Tokayev Sends Telegram of Condolence on Shinzo Abe's Death

The President addressed Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was deeply saddened by the news of the tragic loss of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as a result of assassination, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda press-service.

"The world community knows Shinzo Abe as a prominent politician who worked tirelessly for many years for the development and prosperity of his country. He was a wise leader who played a significant role in strengthening international stability and security. Shinzo Abe's bright image - as a person who embodied the friendly and trusting relations between Kazakhstan and Japan, and as a statesman who made a great contribution to strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between our countries - will forever remain in the memory of the people of Kazakhstan. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and myself, I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Shinzo Abe and to all of your compatriots," the telegram reads.
