The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Nicaragua organized the first consular dialogue in the format of a video conference, Kazakh MFA reports.
The Kazakh side was led by the Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Akataev and the Nicaraguan side was led by the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Lara.
During the meeting, the countries reaffirmed their intention to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries and exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation in the issue of travel and visa.
Particular attention was paid to the early signing of an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual exemption of citizens from visa requirements for visits to Kazakhstan and Nicaragua, which would help expand contacts between the two countries.
