Tengrinews reports that starting from June 8 citizens of Kazakhstan and foreigners will no longer be required to present vaccination passports or negative PCR tests when crossing the national border.

The Interdepartmental Commission on the non-proliferation of coronavirus made the decision after taking into account the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the country and the world.

Incoming travellers will not be mandated to carry any documentation concerning vaccination or revaccination against COVID-19 (passport or certificate of vaccination against COVID-19).

The Interdepartmental Commission also lifted the ban on the operation of 12 temporarily closed border checkpoints in seven regions of the country.
