Sagyn Omirbayuly, 11, finished filming the ninth season of the show "The Voice Kids" where he reached the finals and took third place. He arrived in his hometown of Shymkent and received a warm welcome from his supporters. 

Not an easy feat

As he exited the airport, Sagyn was greeted by his relatives, friends and classmates. He thanked the people of Kazakhstan for their support in the finals and noted that thanks to this support, he was able to proudly represent his country in the large-scale project. He managed to make the top three out of thousands of participants from all over the CIS region.

The winner of "The Voice Kids" was eight-year-old Adeliya Zagrebina from Yegor Kreed's team. The girl received 40% of the votes. 

In an interview with Tengrinews, Sagyn's mother talked about the hardships the family had faced to reach the finals. For instance, they had to take out a loan to fly to Moscow. Now that everything is over, Sagyn is back in his home city of Shymkent where he received a warm welcome.

Sagyn has been singing since he was 4 years old. By now, he has participated in all major singing competitions in Kazakhstan where he mostly won grand prizes.
