On May 20, the Ministry of Digital and Space announced the cancellation of the annual Digital Bridge 2024 scheduled for September 5–7 in Astana, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry’s press service.

What happened: Due to a cost-cutting policy adopted by the government following the mass floods this Spring, the Ministry has decided to cancel the 6th edition of Digital Bridge, originally scheduled for September 5-7 in Astana.

  • The international forum was launched in 2018 and has since become the largest platform in Central Asia for discussing the latest trends and prospects in the IT industry.

  • In 2020, the forum was canceled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Last year, Digital Bridge 2023 brought together over 30,000 participants from 30 countries: 450 speakers, over 300 IT companies, more than 100 investors and business angels, and 150+ startups.

The Ministry stated that the international IT forum Digital Bridge will resume operations in 2025 if conditions allow.
