Kazakhstan is set to bolster the skills of Tajik IT specialists through its Tech Orda human capital development program at the Astana Hub, QazMonitor reports citing the KazAID.

What happened: On May 10, representatives from the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development presented the Embassy of Tajikistan in Astana with 100 training vouchers. These vouchers are designated for the Tech Orda program, which will help to nurture the talents of young Tajiks in private IT schools in Kazakhstan.

Tech Orda: The program, offering funding of ₸600,000 (as of May 14, 2024, $1,359.48), supports a minimum of six months of training in Kazakh IT schools. It covers a broad spectrum of training areas, including web development, cybersecurity, Python development, full stack development, C# coding, and data science.

Background: Last year, the Kazakh government agreed to assist the Tajik side with the development of e-government, training civil servants, e-licensing, and IT training. Additionally, the Republican Center for Space Communication plans to launch a pilot project to provide Internet services to ten rural settlements in Tajikistan via the KazSat-3 satellite
