The National Assembly's Committee on Science and Education in Azerbaijan reviewed plans to implement a student exchange program with Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports citing News.Az.
What happened: On May 13, the Committee held a meeting to discuss student and researcher exchange programs, and mutual participation in conferences and forums at Azerbaijani and Kazakh universities.
Both countries plan to accept twelve exchange students annually across various educational levels, including bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and residency programs. The distribution will be as follows: 3 seats for bachelor's programs, 5 for master's, 2 for doctoral programs, and 2 for general medicine education and residency programs.
The agreement is based on the education and science cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in 2017.
At the end of the meeting, the bill was recommended for discussion at the plenary session of the National Assembly.
