IBF and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and WBA Super belt holder Ryota Murata passed the weigh-in procedure before the unification bout, Tengrinews reports.

Both boxers met the weight limit of the middleweight division, which is about 72.5 kilograms, or 160 pounds.

The opponents have already met face to face for the first time at a press conference held on April 7 in Tokyo where both shared their expectations about the fight.

The match will take place on April 9 in Saitama where Golovkin and Murata will clash to defend their respective titles.
