The Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has concluded 29 investment contracts totaling ₸436.6 billion ($968,758,864) in Q1 2024, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Ministry.
In the first quarter of 2024, 86 applications for investment preferences were received through the e-license portal, said Aibek Smadiyarov, MFA spokesperson, during the media briefing in Astana on April 15.
Breakdown: The industry breakdown is as follows: 12 contracts concluded in the manufacturing industry, 6 contracts in transport and warehousing, 4 contracts in arts, entertainment and recreation, 4 contracts in accommodation and food services, 2 contracts in education and healthcare, and 1 contract in the provision of electric power, gas, steam and air conditioning.
Russia, the Netherlands and Cyprus represented the foreign share of the contracts.
Investment contracts were signed across various regions of Kazakhstan. The distribution is as follows:
Astana: 16 contracts
Shymkent city: 3 contracts
Almaty region: 3 contracts
Almaty: 2 contracts
Zhambyl region: 2 contracts
Aktobe region: 1 contract
Kostanay region: 1 contract
Turkistan region: 1 contract
