Alexander Nedovesov and Andrey Golubev got off to a good start at the ATP 250 Grand Prix Hassan II tournament in Marrakech, according to the FTC press office.
Nedovesov, along with Pakistani Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, defeated the seeded players from Belgium, Sander Gillet and Joran Fliegen in two sets: 6-3, 6-4.
The first pair of the competition – Andrey Golubev and Frenchman Fabrice Martin – opened the match with a victory score of 6:7 (6:8), 7:6 (7:2), 10:6 against Dutchmen Tallon Griekspoor and Botic Van De Zandschulp.
On April 8, Nedovesov and Qureshi will go against Brazil's Rafael Matos and Spain's David Vega Hernandez. The match will be followed by Golubev and Martin playing Italy's Andrea Vavassori and Poland's Jan Zielinski.
