In recent years, branches of twelve foreign universities have opened across the country, and four more will open in Kazakhstan in 2024. Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education, shared the list of higher education institutions, QazMonitor reports.
On the sidelines of the Majilis meeting, Minister Nurbek announced the following upcoming additions:
City University of Hong Kong - “Currently ranked 82nd globally, it will be established at Satpayev University, securing a position within the top 100 universities,” said the Minister.
Pennsylvania State University will open its branch in Almaty
Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers — the university with a historical legacy will open a branch at the Kazakh National Agricultural University.
D.I. Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology — a branch based at M.H. Dulati Taraz Regional University
Highlighting the global collaborations, the Minister said that a branch of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is set to open in Russia.
