On January 22, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alibek Bakayev, held a meeting with Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan in Astana, the press service of Kazakhstan’s MFA reports.
The discussions primarily revolved around various cooperation matters within the consular domain, with a specific focus on the upcoming second round of consultations regarding the simplification of the visa regime for Kazakh citizens traveling to EU countries.

Acceleration of application processing times
Extension of the validity period for multiple-entry visas
Following the negotiations, both parties reached an agreement to further enhance the amicable relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union in the consular sphere.
