In the decisive match for the third-place position, the Kazakh hockey team faced Austria’s team and secured victory with a narrow 6:5 score, clinching the bronze.
Throughout the tournament, the Kazakh players delivered standout performances, clinching victories against Poland (18:8), Chinese Taipei (14:2), and Spain (14:4), as well as a remarkable triumph over Team Great Britain (22:13). Despite facing challenges, such as losses to Austria (8:9), Latvia (11:15), and two defeats against Denmark (6:8, 5:19), the Kazakh team demonstrated resilience, ultimately securing the bronze.
This achievement adds to the national team's medal tally, now totaling three. Previously, Ilya Mizernykh claimed the gold medal in ski jumping, while Polina Omelchuk earned bronze in short-track speed skating.
