Kazakhstan's pavilion was located in the Opportunity District, in close proximity to the main UAE pavilion. Its visitors received information on the geography, history, culture, tourist potential, economic and investment opportunities of Kazakhstan.

The exterior design of the pavilion took on an oriental style with modern-day technical features. The walls were made of lightweight construction, with a lancet arch reminiscent of the sacred sites of Turkestan.

The entrance arch of the pavilion was decorated with petroglyphs and elements of Scythian-Saka culture.

Inside, the exposition is divided into several zones. The main hall completed with mirrors and screens instead of walls is called the Great Steppe Zone. The purpose is to create the illusion of endless space, which, together with the artificial grass, presents the view of the endless steppe. The set has a notable scent of wormwood to emulate the natural fragrance of the steppe.

The country spent about 8 billion tenge on the construction of the pavilion.

EXPO 2020 in Dubai started on October 1, 2021 and ends March 31, 2022.
