During his official visit to Rome, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev engaged in discussions with Guido Brusco, Chief Operating Officer at ENI, an Italian oil and gas company, QazMonitor reports citing Akorda’s press service.

The discussions centered on Kazakhstan's collaboration with Eni in the past year and potential future cooperation. In 2023, a record 63.5 million tons of oil were transported through the CPC pipeline.

The total oil production from Kashagan and Karachaganak fields reached 30.8 million tons. The president attributed these achievements to the collective efforts of the Kazakhstan government and all consortium members, including Eni.

President Tokayev commended the successful implementation of projects in the Aktobe and Turkistan regions, particularly the construction of wind and solar power plants with a combined capacity of 150 MW.

Additionally, the Head of State received updates on the company's plans, which include constructing a gas processing plant, a 250 MW hybrid power station in the Mangystau region, and producing vegetable oil for further processing into biodiesel.
