The discussions in Astana focused on the development of cultural and artistic cooperation between Kazakhstan and European countries. The Culture Minister emphasized that mutual cultural enrichment greatly influences the rapport between nations. Balayeva also highlighted tourism, higher education, and media as potential areas of cooperation.

Ambassador Alberti mentioned the opening of the Italian Cultural Institute in Almaty in 2023, the first in Central Asia and the Caucasus.

The main mission of the Cultural Institute is to popularize the Italian language and culture, attracting attention to new creative talents. In this regard, we are particularly interested in cooperating with universities in Kazakhstan. In 2024, we plan to open the Kazakh–Italian creative industry center in Kazakhstan.
