On January 5, the Ministry of Industry and Construction published the order banning the import of Completely Knocked Down (CKD) right-hand drive passenger vehicles for six months, starting January 15, QazMonitor reports.
The document provides exceptions for various vehicle types, including:
Off-road vehicles (two-wheel or four-wheel drive), featuring a motorcycle saddle, manual steering levers on the two front wheels, off-road tires, and automatic or manually controlled transmission providing reverse drive;
Vehicles with an engine displacement of more than 1000 cm³ but not more than 1500 cm³;
Vehicles with an engine displacement of more than 1500 cm³ but not more than 2500 cm³;
Vehicles with an engine displacement of more than 1500 cm³ but not more than 3000 cm³;
Vehicles with an engine displacement not exceeding 1500 cm³;
Vehicles with an engine displacement of more than 2500 cm³;
Vehicles with an engine displacement of more than 3000 cm³;
Vehicles powered by both a spark-ignition internal combustion piston engine and an electric engine, except those that can be charged by connection to an external source of electricity.
