Kazakhstan will extend the list of vaccine eligibles for Pfizer, Vlast.kz writes.
Changing regulations
Until now, only a specific portion of the population was able to get a shot of the coveted Pfizer vaccine. When the first batch arrived on the night of November 10, 2021, it was announced that the doses will be available to adolescents aged 12 and up, women between 16 and 37 weeks of pregnancy, and women who breastfeed. The arrival made the vaccine the sixth to be registered in Kazakhstan after QazVac, Sputnik V, HayatVax, CoronaVac, and Sinopharm.
In January, the Chief Sanitary Doctor announced that citizens above age 60 were eligible for revaccination with Pfizer.
