Kazakhstan Secures $74 Million in Contracts at Import Expo in Shanghai

Kazakh manufacturers will export fat-and-oil products, powdered milk, and honey to China

During the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, Kazakh companies have signed three memorandums of cooperation and 15 export contracts, totaling $74 million, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Trade and Integration.

In the presence of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arman Shakkaliev, and the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, Rakhymzhan Rakhimov, domestic manufacturers have sealed agreements with Chinese partners for the supply of fat-and-oil products, powdered milk, honey, and feed meal. Arman Shakkaliev, delivering remarks at the signing ceremony, emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to delivering environmentally friendly, top-quality products.

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is taking place in Shanghai November 5–10, 2023. At the event, Kazakhstan presented a diverse array of products from companies such as Mibeko, Almaty Product, VostokEcoLine, Ust-Kamenogorsk Oil Production Plant, DEP, Eurasia Invest, Lepsinsk Onimi, Tek Tau, KORIK SHQ, Arnna Minerals, Alel Agro, Altyn Orda, and others.

The annual participation of Kazakh enterprises at the Import EXPO is facilitated by the Center for Trade Policy Development QazTrade, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kazakhstan.
